Food&Service's KDS system replaces that chaos with touchscreens where orders arrive instantly from the front of house, organized and always legible. It works on any tablet, monitor, or TV you have on hand.

The great advantage is that the kitchen works in a fully visual way: each order appears with a color code based on elapsed time and with its own timer. The team sees at a glance what came in first, what's urgent, and which station needs to prepare each dish, without relying on mountains of paper.

All orders sent by servers appear sorted on the kitchen screen with a color code: green, yellow, or red according to how long they have been waiting. This immediate reading helps the team prioritize without having to calculate anything or search through tickets.

Since orders arrive instantly from the dining room, the kitchen starts preparing as soon as the server confirms the order on their handheld device. The gap between taking the order and its arrival at the stoves is eliminated, and with it, the paper tickets that get misplaced in the middle of rush hour disappear.

Automatic timers and alerts for each order

Each order shows the elapsed time since it was sent, so the team knows at all times how long a table has been waiting. There's no guessing or relying on memory: the timer for each order is always visible on the kitchen screen.

When a dish has taken too long to come out, the screen triggers visual alerts that warn before the delay turns into a customer complaint. This timing control helps maintain a constant output rhythm and detect bottlenecks the moment they occur.

Multi-station: each kitchen area sees only its own

The KDS allows you to split orders between the different stations of your kitchen: cold, hot, desserts, or bar. Each screen shows only what belongs to that station, so the cold station chef isn't distracted by hot dishes and vice versa.

This organization by stations keeps each area focused on its work and coordinates the output of dishes for the same table. The distribution is done intelligently from the moment the order enters, which reduces clutter and helps everything for one table come out together and on time.

Mark as completed and work paperless on any screen

When a dish is ready, the chef touches the order on the screen to mark it as completed. It disappears from view so as not to clutter the kitchen and remains recorded, so the front of house knows that order is now available to serve.
