QR Self-service: your customers order and pay from their own mobile

When a table has to wait for a server to take an order, valuable minutes are lost and details get forgotten. Food&Service's order-and-pay system allows customers to scan a QR code on the table, browse the digital menu, and place their order from their phone, without downloading any app or registering.

For the customer, it means ordering when they want and paying however they prefer; for you, it's a more agile service that frees your team from order-taking and allows you to serve more tables. The customer can pay the server with a card machine or in cash, and the order reaches the kitchen on its own without intermediate steps.

Scan the QR and order without apps or waiting

The process for the customer couldn't be more direct: they scan the QR code at their table with their phone camera and instantly access your digital menu. They don't have to download anything or create an account, which eliminates the friction that would make many give up before starting.

From there, they navigate the menu, select products, add the modifiers they need, and send the order, all from their own device. By ordering when they want, without having to catch the server's eye or wait their turn, the experience becomes more comfortable and the service gains fluidity.

Flexible payment and bill splitting among diners

When it's time to pay, the customer chooses how: they can pay the server with a card machine or in cash, or pay with a card online if it's more convenient. You maintain control of how payments are collected and which payment methods you offer at any given time.

The system also includes bill splitting among diners, which solves one of the most awkward moments at the end of a group meal. Each person pays for their share from their phone without the server having to do calculations at the table, and incidentally makes it easier for customers to leave tips comfortably.

Higher turnover, higher average ticket, and fewer errors

By the customer placing their own order directly, the typical misunderstandings of order-taking disappear: what appears in the kitchen is exactly what they selected. This reduction in errors saves on returned dishes and complaints that slow down service.

Self-service also drives sales. Suggestions and extras that customers see while ordering help increase the average ticket, and since the service is faster, tables turn over more and you serve more diners with the same team. Your staff focuses on serving and looking after the floor instead of taking orders.

Direct to kitchen and compatible with your floor team

When the customer confirms, the order automatically reaches the kitchen without any server having to intervene. That intermediate step that so often causes waits is eliminated, so the kitchen starts preparing sooner and the table receives their dishes in less time.

The system coexists with your server team's way of working: it doesn't replace them but takes away the most mechanical part of the service so they can focus on hospitality. You can have the QR code on the table just for menu browsing and activate ordering and payment when it suits you, adapting self-service to your venue's pace.
