How we made it

The Food&Service team made it. We are an interested party, because Food&Service is one of the POS systems on the list: that's why every fact about the other brands carries the number of its source, so you can check it yourself.

Each brand's data comes from its public website, which we checked on 25 October 2026: its product and pricing pages, its terms and its help centre. We don't use press, reviews or forums. We don't show anyone's prices either, not even ours: they change often and depend on each venue, its hardware and what it signs up for. We do explain how each one charges.

There are no scores and no ranking. Each program suits a type of venue: some are installed on your computer, some are tied to card payments and some do one thing alongside the POS you already have. That's why we group them by type and describe what each one does, including what it does well.

Hospitality POS systems

Programs to run the floor, orders, kitchen, payments and till of a bar or restaurant. What to ask: what hardware they run on, how many devices are included, how you pay and what costs extra.

Food&Service

All-in-one cloud POS for hospitality: floor, handheld ordering, kitchen, QR menu, orders, bookings, stock, expenses and invoicing in one program.

  • Inventory with recipe costing: the cost of each dish comes from what you pay your suppliers and is recalculated with every purchase. Every sale deducts its ingredients, including Glovo and Uber Eats orders.
  • Expenses with AI: you take a photo of the invoice or delivery note, or forward it by email or WhatsApp, and the AI reads it and matches each invoice with its delivery notes. Nothing counts until you approve it, and you get the originals and an Excel file for your accountant.
  • Bookings on the floor plan, in the same POS: no fee per guest or per booking, with a waiting list and reminders. When the guests are seated, the bill is linked to their booking.
  • Handheld ordering on any Android phone or iPhone, with unlimited licences: the POS and handheld ordering run on every device you need, for the same fee. It works in the browser and needs internet, over wifi or mobile data.
  • Glovo and Uber Eats orders come into the POS and go to the kitchen, with no extra tablet at the bar. VeriFactu and TicketBAI included, with the responsible statement published on our website.
  • One plan tailored to your venue, with no minimum term: we give you the final price in the demo. Setup is guided and remote, and support is available every day from 9:00 to 24:00.

  • Ágora Bookings for bookings, with its own plans, and Compras y Stock from the Professional plan. For supplier invoices, staff or loyalty, it integrates with other companies such as Haddock, Skello or Zerosix.4156
  • Basic software support Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00; installation, training and out-of-hours support come from its distributor and are paid separately. VeriFactu and TicketBAI on all its plans, according to its pricing page.17

POS from payment companies

SumUp and Square are payment companies that also sell their own POS, and that POS is tied to their card payments: you take payments with their card terminals and each payment carries their fee. What to check is which restaurant features each plan includes.

  • Subscriptions don't include hardware: the devices are bought, in a single payment or financed. The mobile POS for taking orders at the table and the Square KDS kitchen display come with Plus and Prémium.68
  • Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat orders reach the POS, with partners such as Deliverect and Otter. Bookings through OpenTable; inventory and costs through integrations such as tSpoonLab, MarketMan or Haddock.69
  • VeriFactu responsibility statement published on its website, with records sent to the tax authorities through Fiskaly. According to its website, it needs internet to work normally; if it goes down, you can keep taking payments on its devices for a limited time.7069

Booking software

Single-purpose tools for bookings, paid on top of the POS and, according to each one's website, connected to some POS systems. Food&Service has bookings in the same program, on the floor plan.

CoverManager

Tools for purchasing, inventory, recipe costing and supplier invoices that work with your POS sales and are paid on top of it. Food&Service brings this into the same program you take payments with.

Haddock

  • Bank reconciliation, sending invoices to Holded or exporting them for your accounting, supplier orders and shifts with Haddock HR.90919293

How to choose

  1. What hardware it runs on and how many devicesSome POS systems are installed on Windows, others run on iPad or Android, and others in the browser of any device. Also ask how many devices the fee covers: in some it depends on the plan and in others each device is paid separately.
  2. How many programs you end up paying forAdd up the POS and everything that's extra: bookings, stock, supplier invoices, delivery, the kitchen display. Each tool has its own fee and contract. In Food&Service they're in the same program.
  3. Stock and recipe costingCheck whether stock goes down on its own with each sale and whether the cost of each dish updates with what you pay your suppliers. If another program handles stock, ask how your POS sales reach it and how often.
  4. Minimum term and hardwareRead the contract: whether there's a minimum term or automatic renewal and with what notice, and whether the hardware is bought, yours or rented. That way you know what happens the day you want to switch.
  5. VeriFactu and the responsible statementSpain's tax authorities don't approve software: each manufacturer signs a responsible statement, and you can ask your POS provider for theirs. VeriFactu is postponed to October 2028: Spain's Ministry of Finance announced it on 5 October 2026 and it still has to be published in the BOE, Spain's official gazette; until then, the legal dates are 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for everyone else.
  6. DeliveryIf you sell on Glovo, Uber Eats or other platforms, check whether orders come straight into the POS and go to the kitchen, or whether you need an integrator that's paid separately. And whether sold-out dishes are removed on their own.

  • What POS does a bar or restaurant need?

It depends on your venue. A bar with a terrace needs fast handheld ordering; a restaurant with bookings and a kitchen needs the floor plan, the kitchen display and stock; a group needs to see all its venues. Check what hardware it runs on, how many devices are included, what's extra, whether there's a minimum term and who supports you. And compare what you'd pay in total, not just the POS fee.

  • Why are there no prices?

Because they change often and depend on each venue: the hardware, the devices, the modules and what you sign up for. We explain how each one charges according to its website: a fee per venue, per device or per module, a licence you own, or a fee per payment or per order. We give you the final Food&Service price in the demo.

  • Can I stop paying for several tools?

It depends on which ones you use. Food&Service brings together in one program the POS, handheld ordering, the kitchen display, bookings on the floor plan, inventory with recipe costing, expenses with AI, time tracking and Glovo and Uber Eats orders. It doesn't reconcile with the bank and isn't accounting software. In the demo we look at what it covers in your case; before cancelling anything, check the notice period and minimum term of each contract.

  • Which POS works without internet?

Glop is installed on your Windows computer and, according to its website, keeps working when the connection fails. Revo, Turbopos and Last.app also say on their websites that they keep taking payments when the internet goes down and sync once it's back. Food&Service runs in the cloud and needs internet, over wifi or mobile data. If the connection often drops at your venue, ask each one what you can do in the meantime.

  • Can I use booking or stock software with the POS I already have?

Yes, if your POS is among the ones it integrates with. According to their websites, CoverManager and TheFork Manager connect to the POS systems on their lists, and Haddock, Gstock, tSpoonLab and Yurest take the sales from your POS to deduct stock. Deliverect requires a subscription to your POS as well as its own. Food&Service is the POS and includes bookings, inventory with recipe costing and expenses.

  • Do they comply with VeriFactu?

Spain's tax authorities don't approve software: each manufacturer signs a responsible statement, and the Food&Service one is published on our website. For the other brands we report what their websites say; ask your POS provider for its statement. VeriFactu is postponed to October 2028: Spain's Ministry of Finance announced it on 5 October 2026 and it still has to be published in the BOE, Spain's official gazette; until then, the legal dates are 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for everyone else.

  • Are all POS systems here?

No. These are the ones hospitality businesses ask us about most, from hospitality POS systems to booking, stock and delivery tools. If one is missing, write to us and we'll look into it.

  • Who made this comparison?

The Food&Service team, using the data each brand publishes on its website, checked on 25 October 2026. Each fact carries its source. If something has changed or isn't accurate, write to us and we'll fix it.
