What is a card terminal integrated with the POS?
A card terminal that receives the amount straight from the POS. You tap Charge on the POS, the customer pays on the terminal and the payment is recorded on the bill, without typing anything twice.
Which card terminals does Food&Service work with?
The integration is with one of the most widely used card terminals in Spain, which we set up for you; the handheld ones run the POS inside. You can also work with your bank’s terminal: you charge on it and mark Card on the POS.
What commission does it have?
Food&Service takes no commission on your sales. You only pay the terminal’s, with exclusive terms for FYS customers that we give you in the demo.
Can I split the bill and charge each part by card?
Yes, by product or in equal parts. Each part goes to the terminal with its own amount and is recorded separately on the bill.
Can customers leave a tip by card?
With the handheld terminal, yes: the customer adds it on the terminal itself when paying, and at closing it shows on its own line.
How do I refund a card payment?
You cancel the payment on the POS with automatic refund switched on. The terminal returns the money to the card and the POS records it as refunded.
What if the terminal doesn’t respond?
On the POS you only choose available terminals. If one gets stuck, someone with permission switches to manual charge and records the payment by hand.
Does Food&Service store card details?
No. The payment is processed by the terminal and its payment provider; the POS only receives whether it was approved and records it on the bill.
How is it set up?
We do it for you: we sign up the terminal, connect it to your POS and, if it’s a handheld, help you install the Food&Service app.
